I have opened this blog indirectly at the request of my dog. Otherwise I probably would have stayed away, finding the silent cacophony of the Net somewhat overwhelming. No, I am not a total throw-back to the paleolithic ancestors. My son, Morgan, has patiently done his best to bring me into the present, even providing the Mac Intel, Photoshop CS and Aperture software (and mucho instruction) in support of my photography habit. I also use my astrology software, email, buy books from Amazon.com, check the weather, and try a map or too. But that’s enough time in front of a screen in the back room – there are gardens to tend to, photos to be taken, people to visit, and all those books I ordered to read.
But a strange thing had happened several years ago. If you can believe this, my wonderful but deceased dog, Fred, started talking to me through my friend, Sharon, who is a channel. We had many interesting sessions with him, eventually thought to start taping them. He is a teacher, he said. Full of good humor, warmth and his unique wisdom, he listened to our tales of stumbling through life and answered questions. While I could kick myself now for all the things we didn’t think to ask, it is clear to us that what he did have to say is valuable. A few years ago he made it known that it would be good if those sessions were shared, if we put them into a book. We are working on that. It has been slow going, but is now picking up steam. This blog is part of the process. We want to share what he said, and hear what people think about the whole thing. We have decided to self-publish; the book will be called “Fred Said”. In the meantime, we want to see what other folks have to say about this rather, eh, unusual experience.
